What AI should — and shouldn't — answer for a car dealership
A customer asking whether a specific car is automatic, what its mileage is, or whether it's still available deserves an accurate answer sourced from the dealership's own records — not a plausible-sounding guess.
The moment an AI assistant invents a spec, a price, or an availability status that turns out to be wrong, it costs the dealership more trust than a slow reply ever would.
The right design is narrow: answer only what's actually known, say plainly when something needs to be confirmed by the team, and hand off entirely once a conversation moves into negotiation, complaints, or anything requiring judgement.
